The 2018 Dukes Meadows Masters – Results

7th April 2018

As always, the highlight of the golfing calendar each year is the Dukes Meadows Masters tournament – and yesterday’s was no exception.

With 80 golfers teeing off, the event was hotly contested with the eventual winner, Erika Schict, claiming the coveted Green Jacket and the first prize of an Apple iWatch with an impressive 8 under par.

Second place went to Louis Burrows, narrowly missing out with 6 under par and winning a round of golf for 4 with lunch included at Dukes Meadows.

Matt Samonek took third place winning a Callaway hat and Chrome Soft balls.

“Winner” of the usual wooden spoon, and becoming the lucky recipient of a lesson with Dukes Meadows’ PGA Pro Ben Schrevel was Billy Miller with 13 over par.

With nearest the pin prizes galore on the day, the furthest from the pin prize of a bottle of Funky Monkey went to Matthew Allen, landing his first tee shot 128 yards from the pin.

Dan Davis also shot the best gross score – with a 27 – finishing level for the day.

A huge thank you must go to Heineken and Guinness for generously supporting the event and to Stephen Graham for his efforts arranging and hosting the tournament as always.

This was a magnificent way to conclude our winter season at Dukes Meadows, which of course means that the Heineken Friday Night Club is set to return on the 13th April and we hope to see many of you there!
