Golf Improvement in the Video Analysis Bay

Dukes Meadows offers a state of the art video analysis bay. The use of video enables analysis of movement in slow motion to detect any swing faults for faster diagnosis and correction.  It is a V1 system offering video analysis for the golfer, with 2 cameras for face on, and down the line viewing, giving instant visual feedback for the golfer.

Benjamin Schrevel

PGA Professional

Benjamin competed at major junior tournaments up and down the country for Middlesex County.

After turning his attention to coaching, Ben went to Richmond College where he represented
the golf team for two years whilst studying a BTEC in Sports Coaching and Excellence. He
eventually went on to do a NVQ in Golf Management.

In 2013 he turned pro and is now part of the golf team at Dukes Meadows.

Brian Green

In 1991 Brian turned pro and gained invaluable experience teaching at Beverley Park Driving Range before moving to Dukes Meadows in 1996.

Brian’s passion for learning and helping others learn and to enjoy their golf has lead him down the road of understanding the human body and how we move so enabling him to help his pupils build a movement that suits them and maximise their potential.

Throughout his teaching career Brian has helped every age and ability of golfer from complete beginners to players with experience on various international tours, his relaxed style ensures lessons are informative and fun.

The short game is an area that Brian likes to work on and specialises in as this can have one of the biggest effects on peoples scoring on the golf course, Brian can also teach you Aimpont which is a system for reading greens used by many Tour Players.

After leaving Dukes Meadows for a brief spell at Horton Park, Brian returned in the summer of 2015.

Brian Jackson

Brian was born in Sheffield and was caddying age 12 at Lindrick Golf Club, then on the European and USPGA Tour which ultimately led to him pursuing a career as a PGA Golf Professional. Brian moved South in 1990 working at Chipstead GC, Purley Downs GC and The Richmond GC before moving to Dukes Meadows in 2004.

Some of his achievements include Captain South Region Assistants; Ram Golf Assistant of the Year; Surrey Assistants Captain & Champion; Winner Jimmy Tarbuck Championship; Surrey under 21 Champion; PGA Class AA Qualification; Brain Training and Mental Strengths; and County Academy Coach with the England Golf Partnership.

James Irons

James has been teaching at Dukes Meadows since 2006. He has been teaching a wide range of abilities male and female from beginner to single figure golfers covering swing technique, short game and course management around the golf course.

Since 2009 james has been focusing on the development of junior golf at Dukes Meadows running group programmes and holiday camps for children.

Mark Bell

PGA Professional

Before he turned Professional, Mark had a successful amateur career winning several prestigious events in Hampshire and setting course records in England and Europe, alongside playing for the men’s county first team and receiving England coaching.

Mark also won several prestigious awards such as the Hampshire Schools Sportsman of the year award (Austin Harlick Award) and the Harry Vardon Trophy (Hampshire Player Of The Year Award)

Since turning Professional he has attended European Tour School and won several PGA events including the Middlesex PGA Championships.

After 7 years of PGA coaching experience teaching all levels and ages, Mark joined the team at Dukes Meadows in 2017.

Neil Pagett

Neil has been coaching at Dukes Meadows for 4 years. As a junior played county golf and turned Pro in 1988. He was the county coach for 3 years for Berks, Bucks & Oxon and partnered Luke Donald in the prestigious Sunningdale foursomes. At Dukes Meadows he enjoys a relaxed atmosphere during tuition finding this approach maximizes students full potential.

Neil teaches all levels and abilities with the same enthusiasm, concentrating on encouraging his or her strengths. A strong history with junior golfers with experience in coaching both at a county level and golf camps Neil enjoys turning young golfers into mature players.

Richard Ellis

Richard is highly passionate about his life as a golf Coach. After qualifying as a PGA Professional, Richard embarked on a journey to develop his teaching career. Travelling through Europe and America Richard has worked at some of the finest academies gaining him hands on experience from some of the best known coaches and players in the game. Working with technological changes in the game Richard’s modern approach allows him to teach all standards from novice to elite level.

Being a member of Today’s Golfer Elite Instructors team Richard is a regular feature in various golf publications such as Today’s Golf and National Club Golfer.

Richard Morris

Richard had an illustrious amateur career including British Youths Open Champion 1984, Tillman Trophy Winner 1987 (after playoff with Ernie Els) and playing on the Oklahoma State University Golf Team 1984-87.

In 1992 Richard completed his PGA qualifications at Coombe Hill GC and moved to Dukes Meadows for his first coaching spell.

In 2010 through his playing and coaching experience, Richard was awarded the PGA Advanced Professional certification. He followed this achievement by winning the prestigious Golf Foundation “Laddie Lucas Award” for services to junior golf- highlighting his talent for developing youth.

Richard spent the last few years coaching at World Of Golf but returned to Dukes Meadows in 2014.

Scott Margetts

After completing a BA[Hons] Degree in Sports Studies, Scott completed his PGA Apprenticeship by winning an Award from the PGA through the Trainee of the Year scheme. Working extensively with beginners, talented juniors, County, LPGA and Solheim Cup players, Scott specialises in coaching short game finesse shots and high performance putting.

“I treat my clients as individuals and will study their enjoyment of the game as closely as my own. I aim to learn something new every day and see success as a journey – the anticipation of constant improvement through lifelong enjoyment of the game.”

Since 1997 Scott has been studying and developing his career at Dukes Meadows Golf & Tennis.

Warren Fairbairn

Warren has been teaching at Dukes Meadows Golf since 1992 and has proven to be a popular tutor in all aspects of teaching, from beginner to low handicap golfer. He has vast experience in coaching men, ladies and juniors, in either group or individual sessions.

Warren’s enthusiasm and patient style ensures you will thoroughly enjoy learning golf with him. His eagerness to learn and improve his teaching skills has led him to attend seminars given by some of the world’s best coaches, including Butch Harmon, Martin Hall and Mike Hebron.

Fumie Gusman

Assistant Professional

Fumie Miyazawa Gusman is a Master Graduate in Sport Nutrition Science from a leading University in Japan.

She is a keen participant in several sports. Her initial career started in skiing, where she competed in major competitions, coached at a senior level and was sponsored by a major Japanese company.

Fumie joined Dukes Meadows golf course in 2010 as a Retail Manager with no golf playing experience. Within a short period of 3 years, she started playing off a single handicap and participating in many club and county golf competitions. Since then she also won several of those competitions.

She started her training to become a professional golf coach with the PGA University of Birmingham England in 2016 and she is currently qualified as a professional golf assistant.

Fumie is a natural sports coach, and she brings a unique blend of experience and skills to her role as PGA assistant. From her experience in golf coaching and playing, she knows how important a golf coach role is and how it opens up the possibility for people to improve their golfing skills rapidly with her teaching.

Her client base is expanding due to her initial clients exciting good results who are happily recommending her to others.
